Bring a Cookie on Thursday, August 22 at 2PM EST (#AIChat day)

Why?

Because my guest for #AIChat (#AIChat is a 10 to 15 minute max Twitter chat on artificial intelligence) is Assistant Professor Nick Diakopoulos (his Twitter handle? @ndikopoulos. His website? http://www.nickdiakopoulos.com/) who teaches at the School of Communication at Northwestern University and is the Director of the School’s Computational Journalism Lab.

Professor Diakopoulos has written a book on how algorithms are re-writing the media: https://www.amazon.com/Automating-News-Algorithms-Rewriting-Media/dp/0674976983

Which is the topic of Thursday’s #AIChat: Why isn’t machine language suited to every journalists task?

Since this is a 10-15 minute #AIChat, I will post the rules now (your time is precious. I don’t want to waste it by posting the rules):

1) I will be posting the question in the form of Q1.

2) If you decide to answer it, please use A1.

That’s it.

After the chat, I will do a recap and post on my Twitter (@nickhtang) and Instagram account (the_information_guru)

See you on Thursday, August 22nd at 2PM EST for #AIChat.

P.S. If you want to participate in the chat:

A) in the Twitter search engine, type #AIChat or

B) find me at @nickhtang on Twitter.

Author: Research King

My real name is Nick but my clients call me the Research King. Why? Because I love researching and finding information. And they’re literally amazed when I find the information for them. I love analyzing how technology influences the media and entertainment world. Because the media and entertainment industry is constantly changing. And technology is playing a big role in changing it (from CD’s to live-streaming). Finally, I love coffee, going to the gym/working out and anything to do with athletic leisure clothing (I’m a big Lululemon fan). P.S. If you need to follow me on social media: Twitter: @nickhtang Instagram: @the_information_guru
