It’s Thursday (actually, it’s Monday)

Happy early Thursday!

I’m off for Thanksgiving.

If it’s nice and sunny where you are, don’t forget to go outside. And spend the time with your family and friends.

For this week’s round-up, focus on this quote from Professor Squire at the USC School of Cinema from Brooke Barnes’ article in “The New York Times:”

“Studios used to be able to buy an opening weekend — O.K., marketing department, here’s a movie that isn’t very good, make it open,” said Mr. Squire, the professor. “In the social media age, those days are over.”
