The Three. Le Trois. El Tres.

Happy Friday.

You made it.

I hope you’re doing well during this coronavirus situation.

Here are the three articles that caught my eye this morning. And the Stay at Home Workout of the day.

Need your sports fix?

If you need your NFL (American football) and NBA (basketball) fix, this is great news (for US viewers, the NFL package is free until May 31st, 2020. Outside the US? Free until July 31. NBA? Free until April 22, 2020).

NB. From my ‘how technology impacts the media/entertainment’ lens? This is the smartest way to get your present and future fans watching your sports (or other) programs. And to think, if there was no Internet, you’d have nothing to watch.

How the fitness world is surviving

As you know, I love working out at the gym (and revamping my fitness wardrobe so I can be comfortable during my workouts (hello Lululemon – love your stuff!!!). Right now, I’m more focused on maintenance and taking walks (with social distancing) outside when I get the chance. Or doing basic pushups or sit-ups.

Three articles for you to read:

1) remember when you saw pictures of people panic buying at the grocery store? The same happened at your local fitness store.

2) like the media and entertainment world, the fitness world is using technology to motivate their clients to continue working out. Some examples?

2a) Yoga studio transitions to online classes

2b) Gym owners, Yoga studios create online tutorials amid coronavirus closures

Instagram. You new talk show and concert venue

Let’s take this one further. You no longer have to be on the big screen (tv, movie theatre or concert hall).  The technology is already here for you to create your own program. And after COVID-19, you will see a big shift in the way you watch your favorite TV show etc (if you thought it was big now, it’s going to be bigger. A lot bigger).

Celebrities find ways to amuse us on social media while we all social distance

Bonus: Stay at Home Workout of the Day (WOD)

Throughout this COVID-19 situation, I will post a WOD for you. So you can stay healthy. And sane.

2-5 rounds (all I want is for you to move. That’s it. I emailed and DM’ed my unofficial kettlebell and tabata group to do 20 squats etc. I’m letting you off easy today)

10 squats

10 jumping jacks

10 push ups

10 ab crunches

Motivational Ending

Now is the time to invest in yourself.

To learn a new skill.

To stay fit.

Don’t wait to jump in.

Just do it.

Thanks for reading.

Have a great weekend!

See you on Monday!

Author: Research King

My real name is Nick but my clients call me the Research King. Why? Because I love researching and finding information. And they’re literally amazed when I find the information for them. I love analyzing how technology influences the media and entertainment world. Because the media and entertainment industry is constantly changing. And technology is playing a big role in changing it (from CD’s to live-streaming). Finally, I love coffee, going to the gym/working out and anything to do with athletic leisure clothing (I’m a big Lululemon fan). P.S.
