The Three. Le Trois. El Tres

Happy Tuesday!

It’s sunny/cloudy outside as I write this.

I hope it’s sunny where you are.

Here are the three articles that caught my eye today (one on how tech has impacted  the entertainment world (my speciality). The two others? If the headline caught my eye and I continued to read it, it’s in this email newsletter).

I love you all!

1) How far are you from the next person?

When countries decide to re-open their economies, physical/social distancing is the key to preventing another pandemic. One way to do this? Install a social distancing app to make sure that everyone is 6 feet/2 metres away from each other. If you’re thinking that it can’t be done, consider that a company has already invented this for the amusement parks industry:

2) Wait! What? Uh?

Technology’s impact on the entertainment world? There’s more shows for you to watch. Where you’re watching it has evolved: from your TV at home to your smartphone while you’re riding the subway.

Here’s an interesting deal for Facebook Watch (raise your hand if you’ve even watched a Facebook Watch show. I haven’t). From a strategy POV, it’s the right decision to make. Why? Everyone is stuck at home during this pandemic. And they need something new to watch. On the negative side – will anyone watch them? I doubt it (I don’t know about you, but when it comes to watching shows, it’s Netflix and YouTube. And the CBS News app on my AppleTV box):

3) Yay! No sit-ups or ab crunches 🙂

This article is designed to make you think about sit-ups and ab crunches (the quick summary? Strengthen your back muscles. My POV? Every muscle in your body is connected to each other. Work on strengthening all of them. And don’t forget to check with your doctor before you do this):

‘Sit-ups Are Stupid and Crunches Are Crap.’ Say What Again?

Stay at Home Workout of the Day

10 thrusters (you don’t need a barbell or kettlebells to do this. Use a 4L vinegar bottle. A knapsack filled with books. Don’t forget to grab the sides of the vinegar bottle or knapsack. Other items you can use? A bag of flour, one heavy book. Be creative):

10 jumping jacks

10 high knees.

Repeat 6 times.

Motivational Ending

Learn something new each day.

Author: Research King

My real name is Nick but my clients call me the Research King. Why? Because I love researching and finding information. And they’re literally amazed when I find the information for them. I love analyzing how technology influences the media and entertainment world. Because the media and entertainment industry is constantly changing. And technology is playing a big role in changing it (from CD’s to live-streaming). Finally, I love coffee, going to the gym/working out and anything to do with athletic leisure clothing (I’m a big Lululemon fan). P.S.
