The Three. Le Trois. El Tres

Heyo!

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a great weekend!

Here are the three articles that caught my eye (I can guarantee you that one article is how tech has impacted the entertainment world (my specialty). The other two? If the headline caught my eye, it’s probably in this email newsletter).

Have an awesome and positive day!

I love you all!

1) Hi! It’s me! Disney+

Tech’s impact on Disney? It can make some money with Disney+ (and that’s why more Disney movies are headed to Disney+).

Keep in mind that most of Disney’s profits comes from their parks. Since most of them have closed due to the pandemic, the only sources of income for the company? It’s media division (excluding the film division. That’s shut down as well as movie cinemas are closed).

P.S. A S/O to my friend Nicole (@NicMacYogi) who grasped this in 5 seconds

P.P.S You should check out her free online yoga class. Details in her Twitter profile and here.

2) Why are you staring at me?

Here’s one way to get your “fans” back into your sports stadium during the pandemic. Use cardboard cut outs of them (this article is behind a paywall but the headline says it all):

3) Food hall > Restaurants

Your favorite restaurant might not survive during this pandemic (high rent, inability to pivot to online ordering etc). The solution? Food halls (this article is behind a paywall but the headline says it all).

The key idea? “The percentage-rent food hall model is one that’s better aligned (in) interests for both the landlord and the tenant,” Schneck said. “They both do well in the good times, and they both struggle equally during down times.”

Stay at Home Workout

You don’t need a fancy at home gym filled with weights etc to workout when you can use your bodyweight (build your strength):

Motivational Ending

Positive thoughts = amazing life

Negative thoughts = ugh life.

Author: Research King

My real name is Nick but my clients call me the Research King. Why? Because I love researching and finding information. And they’re literally amazed when I find the information for them. I love analyzing how technology influences the media and entertainment world. Because the media and entertainment industry is constantly changing. And technology is playing a big role in changing it (from CD’s to live-streaming). Finally, I love coffee, going to the gym/working out and anything to do with athletic leisure clothing (I’m a big Lululemon fan). P.S.
