The Three. Le Trois. El Tres

Happy Wednesday!

It’s sunny outside and I challenged myself during Coach Wayne’s workout today (hello 100 chest press and jumping jacks) = I’m in my happy place.

Here are the three articles that caught my eye today!

I love you all!

Redesigning and remodelling

If you want to stand out, consider using Pinterest quizzes.

Koehler did this and Pinterest searches on bathroom updates and remodelling were up 117% and 140%.

Will it lead to more profits for Koehler? Definitely.

Algorithms are a tool

Repeat after me.

Algorithms (and artificial intelligence software) are a tool.

You need to verify the data it gives to you to make sure it makes sense in your situation. In some cases, the data is wrong.

NB. Don’t get me wrong, I love technology but even I know that I have to verify the data when it gives me the results.

Olympic athlete workouts?

I will keep writing this until I can’t write about this anymore: technology allows the entertainment world to target their fans with the shows they want to watch (and subscribe to) on their schedule. Not the network’s.

One example?

The Olympic Channel.

Noticed what happened when the organization created their own OTT (Over The Top) network combined with live streaming on their social media accounts (14.5 million viewers watched it; your fans will find a way to pay and watch your shows)):

Olympic Channel’s video views surpass 3.3bn with 65% monthly user growth

I can guarantee that you’ll learn a lot in 10-15 minutes (it’s a Twitter chat. Look for my Twitter handle @nickhtang or type #AIChat in the Twitter search engine to join me and Dr. Sophia).

My real name is Nick but my clients call me the Research King. Why? Because I love researching and finding information. And they’re literally amazed when I find the information for them. I love analyzing how technology influences the media and entertainment world. Because the media and entertainment industry is constantly changing. And technology is playing a big role in changing it (from CD’s to live-streaming). Finally, I love coffee, going to the gym/working out and anything to do with athletic leisure clothing (I’m a big Lululemon fan). P.S.
