#AIChat recap
#AIChat is a 10-15 minute Twitter chat on artificial intelligence (AI). Where my guest(s) help you figure out how AI impacts your life. And work.
On December 8th, 2020, my guest was @triciakickssaas from @holisticyber. The topic? What are the cybersecurity trends for 2021 (very timely because it’s 2021). Mistakes are mine:
This is the only question for @TriciaKicksSaaS and @holisticyber:

Q1: What are the #cybersecurity trends for 2021?#AIChat
Hello everyone at #AIChat! We focus on bringing nation-state grade cyber defense expertise to the enterprise. Nice to be here with all of you! pic.twitter.com/JsQ99fZ4YA

Financial, healthcare, and utility organizations will be even larger targets next year. Focus on understanding the attacker’s motivations will significantly increase your cyber defense plan.
1/6 #AIChat Unsurprisingly, attacks on healthcare and pharma are going to continue to rise. We saw earlier this year that a #ransomware attack can be fatal in that industry, which makes it even more dire.

2/6 #AIChat also unsurprisingly, remote workers will continue to be an easy target. Be aware of what you’re clicking on, and yes that includes social media posts from people you trust.

3/6 #AIChat Nation-State and nation-state grade attacks are going up too. With the current pandemic and US election this year, it’s created an even larger geopolitical issue within cyber.
— Tricia is up to snow good (@TriciaKicksSaaS) December 8, 2020
We see a lot of it @holisticyber – and the private sector is *not* immune to them.
4/6 #AIChat with such a big push to #cloud (more this year than normal thanks to COVID-19) service providers will be a H U G E target. Keep in mind the shared responsibility model.
— Tricia is up to snow good (@TriciaKicksSaaS) December 8, 2020
5/6 #AIChat privacy and security are becoming more intertwined. Non-technical people are becoming more aware of their privacy rights and desire for it as well.
— Tricia is up to snow good (@TriciaKicksSaaS) December 8, 2020
6/6 #AIChat and finally: piggybacking off the service provider – #cloud misconfigs are going to be exploited even more than they are now. Things were set up in a hurry to keep businesses running and that means corners were cut. Double check your configs and test often!

Thank you all for joining this quick #AIChat – can’t wait for the next one @nickhtang!

I’m going to change the format:
sometimes I’ll have a guest.
Other times, I’ll pin a controversial article so you can talk about it for 24-48 hours.
Or do a live Periscope for 10-15 minutes on a conversational topic.
