Your #entertainment #technology poll for this week.
If you’re going to invest your $$ (eg: retirement/401k) would you place some of it in:
a) content companies: DIS, Netflix, Discovery etc or
b) the pipes (eg: Akamai, etc)?
You’ll have my answer next week
This isn’t investment advice. Do your own research. It’s tempting to buy the content providers such as Discovery and Netflix because they have so much upside: (1) taking market share away from the linear/cable industry (2) using software such as artificial intelligence and machine learning language to help you pick what you want to watch and (3) lots of cash to use (example: Apple).
Personally? I love the media infrastructure side (including the software companies securing the network). Why? Without it, you can’t stream your shows etc to your subscribers.
