Thanks Nick! 👋 Here’s an example of how we use AI to remove language barriers and translate content seamlessly: https://t.co/anOqmyb0TK

Whats happening under the hood in this video is the same thing you would see in a Hollywood blockbuster like Star Wars or Bladerunner. We re-create a digital representation of Beckham which allows us to sync the video to the new language.

In marketing this is a tool that can help companies reach a much larger audience when using video without having to 1) degrade the content with CC/dubbing 2) re-shoot everything in several different languages.

Q1 for @vriparbelli, CEO and co-founder @synthesiaIO
How can #AI be used to help the #media/#ad/#entertainment world? #AIChat

Most people think of AI as an analytical tool to help/automate decision making. Thats very valuable. But AI is now learning to actually create content: video, images, audio, text. This family of technologies are often called Synthetic Media.

These technologies will supercharge content creation and enable everyone to create 100x more content than they do today at a fraction of the time, cost and skills required today. I believe mass-communication will soon be an artefact of the past.

In the near future you will be able to have your favourite celebrity teach you physics at a pace that fits you and tailored to your interests. Just like you would in the real world.

This is an amazing development. Technology is your pace. Not others. Do you see anything else coming down the pipe in the next 2-3 years?
— Nick Tang (@nickhtang) June 20, 2019

In the next 2-3 years I believe we will hear the worlds first uncanny artificial voice, trend towards everyone creating/watching more synthetic content than “real” content and implement systems for media verification at a large scale.

Today it means that content can be personalised and localised in a much more efficient manner than before: using AI a single video can for example be rephrased to better address your customers interests without having to spend days on a production set.
