Happy FriYaY!
Some inspiration to start your weekend off on the right foot!
Thank you to all my coaches past and present who have guided me on my health and fitness journey (Wayne, Tobin, Kathy, Kristy, Paula, Vince, Rachel and Matt)
Life is tough.
Sometimes, you want to give up.
Or you can push forward to see what happens.
This CrossFit routine (done on Thursday, March 7 2024)? Link (short summary? 21 snatches on one hand, 21 burpees, 21 snatches on the other hand, 21 burpees; do this 15x, then 9x using a 50 pound weight if you’re a man, 35 pound weight if you’re a woman. Do this in 15 minutes)
When Coach Matt told me that I was 3 minutes into the workout, I knew I wasn’t going to finish in 15 minutes (it was my first time using a 50 pound weight). At that point, I decided to push forward. Ignoring the time limit <—- lessons? Move forward. Because you never know what you can accomplish if you set your mind to it. And surround yourself with positive people who can push you; online and offline.

grabbing many weights (the 50 pound weight is on the right hand side) as I can to push through the workout <—- lesson? give yourself many ways to win. Change the conditions of the test

at some point, I started using the light weights <—- lesson? Quality exercises over quantity
because my left wrist was getting sore <—— lesson? Listen to your body. Don’t injure yourself to push through an exercise routine
and my coaches drilled into my head this important lesson – tiny steps = amazing results (welcome to the 1% club).
the happy dance I did when Coach Matt told me I had 9 snatches (per side) and 18 burpees left? The happiest dance I ever did <—- lesson? Enjoy the journey.
Finishing in 47 minutes? Priceless <—- lesson? You never know what you’re capable of doing. Unless you try
P.S. Thank you for taking the photos Coach Matt!
P.P.S. I hate to lose: link
