Bingo?

Don’t be surprised if it takes longer to build a data center (AI needs data centers to process data). Some reasons? It takes two years to get a backup generator: link

Hola!

By the time you read this, you’ll have a good idea of some of the questions (and some of my answers to them) that the entertainment industry (to be honest, applies to all industries) need answers to:

  1. Avoiding AI (artificial intelligence) LLM (large language model) bias at the data gathering stage; what does this mean? Gathering lots of data from different sources to make sure it’s not biased.
  2. How to stay ahead of the technology curve? As I write this, AI is the key buzzword being used today. You could add that spatial computing is the next buzzword but to be honest, you need to look ahead to see what’s coming next (hint? Quantum computing)
  3. From a political, society and technology point of view (warning – lots of sub posts on this)?A) you need to understand how people in each country are using the technology. For example, in China, WeChat is used because it has lots of functions (super app). In North America? You must download one app at a time. By understanding how the person uses the service, you can figure out a strategy B) understand a country’s culture to figure out why they act the way they do (it’s linked to the big picture/history of a country → culture, customs, history and artistic heritage). For example, the US had its Boston Tea in 1773 = explains why the US is the number one in terms of innovation (because it doesn’t believe in the status quo)C) how are the younger generation using technology? For instance, this is what Gen Z in North America wants from their bank: linkD) do people in each country value things? Or their meaning?

E) the loneliness epidemic – considering that some kids are tied to their smartphone/iPads/Roblox and are using them to create new social ties, how does this impact the industry (if you’re a company like Qualcomm, no impact because there will be a need for faster chips)? Does this mean you spend more money on creating games? And fund in person activities (example: group exercise classes) to make sure that the kids are interacting in person?

Stay at home workout

Pencils = gold

This isn’t investing advice. Do your own research. In this digital age, it’s nice to see children using pencils again: link

The future, today

If I told you there was a hotel chain in California that allows you to add personal touches (example: photo of your family on the TV screen) the minute you check in would you stay at the hotel? Link

Uh, oh

On the positive side, at least the retail industry has caught up to the entertainment industry when it comes to using CX: link
