#AIChat is a Twitter chat on artificial intelligence.
My guest(s) cut through the artificial intelligence noise.
To help you make smarter artificial intelligence decisions.
At work. And in your life.
On March 7th, 2019, my guest for #AIChat was @calomas.
The topic? Artificial intelligence project model.

Here’s question #1 for @calomas:
Q1) What’s an #AI project model? #AIChat pic.twitter.com/RuGPcXYZAD— Nick Tang (@nickhtang) March 7, 2019

#AIchat A1: The #AIbusinessModelCanvas is inspired by the #BusinessModelCanvas, but tailored to the #AI subject matter, because it needs to be thought about differently. #business #tech #leadership #prodmgmt #4IR #futureofwork

#AIchat A1: Truth is, 41% of 3,000 executives @McKinsey_MGI study said they’ve yet to adopt #AI because they’re unsure about how it can help their organization! https://t.co/8mWggVywFj #AIBusinessModelCanvas #business #leadership #4IR

#AIchat A1: The aim of creating the #AIBusinessModelCanvas was to help #leaders think through how do you tackle #AI projects in their company. #business #tech #leadership #prodmgmt #4IR

#AIchat A1: #AIbusinesModelCanvas was created to help #Innovation + #Leadership Teams articulate the #AI vision for their orgs, for in my experience, and as @MITsmr highlights: “The gap between ambition and execution is large at most companies”. https://t.co/Gq3FXv8uTn #tech #4IR

#AIchat A1: I felt it was time someone adjusted the original #BusinessModelCanvas to be more targeted at capturing the considerations for new #AI products + services. #business #tech #leadership #prodmgmt #4IR #ArtificialIntelligence #automation #robotics

Hey Christoper and @nickhtang. We took a look at your #BusinessModelCanvas. It was great to see #Data as one of your key considerations for #AI deployments. 🔐 File analytics is the name of our game, so we’re all for your mention of #BetterData. #AIchat

#AIchat A1: I’d be interested to hear if folks in #AIchat think there a coherent #AI tech stack, at their org, or still lots of experiments with Open Source technologies? #AIBusinessModelCanvas #business #tech #leadership #prodmgmt #4IR #automation #robotics #healthtech #fintech

I think Open Source technologies are great to get into the AI. Being able to experiment with bleeding edge tech, like Clickhouse before committing to redesigning tech stack is a relatively safe and cost effective way to get into the game.

As you’re talking Q1 with @calomas here’s Q2) How can it help other companies create an #AI process? #AIChat pic.twitter.com/V80nfPEhp4

#AIchat A2: There are inherently new considerations for #AI business models, that need to be called out:
Where is your data today?
What form is it in?
What outputs do we want?
What new skills will we need?https://t.co/KXsiiFzDxF #futureofwork #AIBusinessModelCanvas #tech #4IR— Christopher Lomas 🤖🚀 (@calomas) March 7, 2019

#AIchat A2: I’m also keen that orgs/ #leadership see that #AI has known constraints or practical limiting factors that may slow down the pace, or decrease the scope of their product https://t.co/q2nedkGOya #AIBusinessModelCanvas #4IR #data #automation #MachineLearning #robotics

It’s not a magic pill, it needs careful thinking through and also you can’t just “Build” something and it will work, it needs training and maintaining and tuning … bit like children!

#AIchat A2: In the #AIBusinessModelCanvas I call out the real issue that most orgs will have around getting started with #AI, which is the Resources to ‘Train, Maintain + Explain’ AI products: https://t.co/czyJo4jBUv by @MITsmr @pauldaugh #hplusm #futureofwork

A2 Anything that helps people relate In adopting is a good thing We did a test where an #AI VPA gave the implementation presentation It had mixed reactions as the fear level surfaced 🤔 #AIChat

No as most think #AI & #ML are synonymous reality is that yes AI is like a baby but every day that baby doubles brain capacity so by day 4 it’s an adult & absorbing data globally rewriting itself & questioning efficiency of tasks ML stays within a set task & optimizes 🤔 #AIChat

I don’t find that an issue as we see whole industries creating events to have it explained to them & then utilizing what they learned CES this yr was more of an implementation meeting than a conf this yr which is how things have been moving 🌐🤔 #AIChat
